Client: Deloitte
Role: Experience Designer
Duration: 3 months

Skills: Digital & Physical Experience Design, Experience & Brand Strategy

Ambition
Deloitte's Energy, Resources, and Industrials industry vertical engaged my team to develop the digital client experience for a fully operating and functioning factory prototype that showcases Deloitte's own industry leadership and full breadth of capabilities for Industry 4.0 and the Future of Manufacturing. The Smart Factory, built in partnership with and located on the campus of Wichita State University, offers an opportunity in which the digital, physical, and experimental come together so clients can experience the advanced manufacturing methods and technologies at the heart of digital transformation As digital and physical experiences are now more integrated than ever, we worked seamlessly in parallel with Gensler, the architectural firm responsible for the design of the space, to develop a unified client experience set to open doors Fall 2021.

Impact
Within 12 weeks, our team of 3, alongside a team of 12 architects, interior designers, service designers, and creative technologists from Gensler, and a team of 5 brand strategists and designers from Deloitte-acquired creative agency, Heat, came together to develop a distinct go-to-market brand and end-to-end experience. This proved as the firm's first successful cross-functional collaboration not only within internal teams but also with external design partners. Our digital experience "discovery" workstream seamlessly aligned with Gensler's Schematic Design (SD) phase, and together we developed the overarching experience, mapped out key digital touchpoints, and defined design principles. Because our team members, including myself, had architectural backgrounds, and similarly, Gensler's team had service designers and technologists, we were able to provide constructive feedback to build on each other’s work.
